Prithvi Theatre is a well-known venue in Mumbai, frequented by Bollywood celebrities. Our students were provided with an the exclusive opportunity of engineering and recording the entire Prithvi Theatre.

In 2017, The Media Tribe (TMT) forged a significant partnership with Kulturtanken, contributing to the overarching objective of enhancing the independent music sector and music education in India through bilateral cooperation. This collaboration aimed to achieve several key outcomes:

Enhanced Sound Engineering: TMT embarked on a journey to elevate the quality of sound engineers in India, aligning with the program's mission.

Elevated Professionalism: The collaboration fostered increased cooperation, professionalism, and quality within India's independent music sector, bolstering its standing on the global stage.

South Asian Partnerships: The partnership worked to intensify ongoing cooperation among various stakeholders in South Asia, strengthening the region's musical bonds

Strengthening India-Norway Music Relations

Noteworthy Achievements

International Expertise: The collaboration facilitated an invaluable visit by Ross Lara, a platinum-selling music producer, engineer, and programmer from the US. In April 2017, elaborate in-studio sessions were conducted at TMT Studios in Mumbai. These sessions covered electronic music production, songwriting for commercial music, and insightful discussions on the modern music business.

Cross-Continental Exchange: A TMT student, Mohit Shandilya, gained a remarkable opportunity to train as a Sound Engineer at the prestigious Oya Festival in Oslo, Norway. This experience significantly contributed to raising the quality of sound engineering in India.

Chauraha SAARC Showcase: A highlight of the collaboration was the creation of "Chauraha," a musical showcase uniting artists from SAARC countries. This unique initiative blended traditional and cultural aspects, culminating in a showcase at Mumbai's Totem Pole Music Festival in October 2017. The resultant documentary offered a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the creative process.
